**All units must follow the National standard of two deep leadership
 
GLAAC no longer offers one free adult with each reservation, all adults pay full cost
 
Camp Cherry Valley does NOT offer a provisional program for Scouts to attend without adult leadership
 
 

Located on legendary Santa Catalina Island, it is a ferry ride across the channel to a camp that dates to the 1920s. A picturesque cove with sandy beach, swimming area and unusually clear water is situated at the mouth of Cherry Valley.

Camp Cherry Valley offers opportunities for many water sports including world-class snorkeling, SCUBA diving, canoeing, rowing, sailing and swimming. Because it is located on the leeward side of the island, the cove is calm making it a perfect place for lots of fun in the water. Hikes over mountainous terrain, war canoe races, a sea lab with a touch tank so you can learn about local marine life is available. Camping in comfortable platform tents under a unique variety of cherry trees, a dining hall and more.

COST PER PERSON: NO FREE ADULTS OFFERED WITH RESERVATION
GLAAC UNIT MEMBER  YOUTH $625  ADULT $475
NON-GLAAC UNIT MEMBER YOUTH $670  ADULT $495

WEEK 1/JUNE 9-15 WEEK 2/JUNE 16-22 WEEK 3/JUNE 23-29 WEEK 4/JUNE 30-JULY 6
Weeks 5-8 *Minimum of 8 Scouts to registered for these week's
WEEK 5/JULY 7-13 WEEK 6/JULY 14-20 WEEK 7/JULY 21-27 WEEK 8/JULY 28-AUG 3
**All units that sign up by November 1, 2018 will receive a free 2019 Summer Camp T-shirt for each camper that attends! 
                   

***NOTE: All changes in camper numbers must be submitted in writing by the reservation contact (email, mail or in person) to the camping department.  No change in camper numbers will be accepted over the phone.

 

Cancellation Policy: All payments are non-refundable and you will forfeit the money paid on spots you drop.

  1. A $200 initial deposit per unit is required at the time of making a reservation.  This deposit is non-refundable, but is applied to your final total.
  2. First payment of $100 per person is due no later than Thursday, January 31, 2019.
  3. Second payment of $100 per person is due no later than Thursday, February 28, 2019.
  4. Third payment of $100 per person is due no later than Friday, March 29, 2019.
  5. Total Balance is due no later than Tuesday, April 30, 2019.
  6. There is a $10 discount for pairs of brothers attending camp together.  The price per pair can be reduced by $10 (or $5 per brother).  This discount will be applied to your reservation before the Final Balance is paid (not before April 15th, 2019).

 

If you neglect to make a payment your unit’s reservation will be dropped and you will forfeit all money paid.

 

Payment methods include cash, check, VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express.  Checks should be made payable to GLAAC – BSA and mailed to 2333 Scout Way, Los Angeles, CA 90026 with a copy of your statement.
